Created in 2021, this one-eyed guy has made quite an impression. From a failed webcomic to an art doll, it's obvious he's one of my favorite characters. He hasn't been around long enough for his visual design to go through much of an evolution.
However, his story arc has changed rapidly dozens of times. The one constant in his story is Mimic. My personal favorite iteration of Eggbite's story is what I like to call his farmer arc, but really, it's the original iteration of the story. Sure, Royalty AUs are super fun, but there is something so charming about Mimic and Eggbite stumbling across each other and falling in love.

'Oh my goodness, the Minecraft skin is so so so ugly, but I love it dearly. So, picture this knee-deep in the pandemic: I am sixteen years old, trying desperately to make a fun and unique Minecraft skin. I am so BAD at making eyes with pixel art. The space constraint for Minecraft skins was the biggest struggle.
I remember thinking, "Screw This, my Minecraft skin is gonna be a bald purple cyclops with fangs, then I won't have to draw complicated stuff."
My Minecraft skin skills haven't improved much, BUT a few ArtFights ago, a lovely artist called VileCr0ws created a new skin for EggBite. It's an absolutely lovely skin; I've got to do a Minecraft video to show it off.'

Why the name EggBite?
Why the name EggBite?
So why the name EggBite? Well, that, my friend, is a fairly stupid story. Again, deep in the pandemic, during a Among Us stream, CrankGamePlays (Ethan Nestor) had just eaten or talked about Starbucks eggbites. For the rest of the stream, his crewmate's name was EggBite, and I thought it was such a silly and endearing name.
And now, three years later, the name has truly stuck. I've got a couple of ideas for different names for EggBite and Mimic. From time to time, I am really tempted to change their names. However, I'll save the names when I create a project featuring the two of them.

The air smelled of warm wheat and cool water. Bountiful crops reached for the shining blue sky and tumbling clear water. They were safe in the hands of two farmers.
The two men leaned into the vegetables, lightly pulling and testing the roots of the greens.
One told a small, sarcastic joke. The other laughed. A wonderful laugh that rolled through the distant fields.
Oh, how Eggbite loved that laugh.
Mimic paused, noticing the stagnation.
“What’s up? Is something wrong?”
Eggbite blinked, averting his gaze.
“No, just…”
He stole one more glance at the face freckled with eyes, gleaming with a joyful light.
Eggbite smiled at the sight of it.
“….A bit distracted, is all.”
